Liverpool has confirmed the appointment of Giovanni van Bronckhorst as part of a major overhaul of Arne Slot's coaching staff, with two more senior figures leaving Anfield.
Former Arsenal and Barcelona star Van Bronckhorst had been touted to link up with Slot for some time following the departure of John Heitinga, who left to become Ajax's new head coach.
Van Bronckhorst now joins Liverpool as an assistant coach, and is joined on the staff by goalkeeping coach Xavi Valero, who returns to Anfield after spending the last seven years at West Ham.
The club has also confirmed the departures of Fabian Otte and Claudio Taffarel from the goalkeeping department.
