Some Liverpool fans on Twitter have finally got to see Ibrahima Konate for the very first time.

The Reds kicked off their summer business early by signing Konate in a £36 million deal back in May.

And Jurgen Klopp unleashed him against Stuttgart in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with the German outfit.

Everybody knew that Konate was an immense physical presence, standing at 6’4.

But the big man also has a frightening turn of pace and showcased his bullet speed with a number of recovery challenges for Liverpool yesterday.

Here’s how some fans of the Anfield club reacted to seeing his pace:

With speed and size, Konate could well be a perfect addition for Liverpool this summer.

He has two attributes that Premier League attackers will simply hate playing against and it’ll be fascinating to see how his first season goes.

First, he has to establish himself as a regular in Klopp’s best XI, which could be difficult.

Liverpool, who kick off their season away to Norwich City on August 14, may have Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez fit for the Canaries trip.

You’d think Van Dijk is guaranteed to start if he’s available and if Konate continues to impress, he may well line up alongside the Dutchman at Carrow Road.
