Liverpool are not finished in the transfer window as they enter the final two weeks of the summer market.
The Reds have had a busy time both in terms of incoming and outgoing deals, but are likely to complete more in both categories.
The big ticket story to follow remains Alexander Isak, with Liverpool still in need of bringing in a new forward before the September 1st deadline.
Newcastle fans chanted against Isak during their Premier League opener on Saturday, but it remains to be seen whether a deal for the Swede is feasible.
If it is not, then Liverpool need to pivot towards another target.
The Reds are keen on Bradley Barcola, but the Frenchman is unlikely to leave PSG.
As a result, Liverpool could target another Ligue 1 player in Malick Fofana of Lyon.
Fofana has been linked with a move to Anfield, and after his team’s first game of the season on Saturday, the 20-year-old spoke out to suggest it could still happen.

There were reports earlier in the window that Fofana rejected a move to Everton as he continued to wait for a Champions League team to come in for him.
In the meantime, he has knuckled down alongside former Liverpool man Tyler Morton to deliver a win for Lyon on opening day.

Fofana grabbed the assist for the game’s winning goal, and afterwards he spoke to BeIN Sports to confirm that he is not completely certain to stay with Les Gones.
“If I stay in Lyon, that’s a tricky question,” said Fofana.
“In football, anything can happen, we’ll see.”

“Of course, I’m very happy here, it’s not that I want to leave.
I really hope to play in the World Cup.”
On the one hand, a move for someone like Fofana if Liverpool cannot get Isak would make a lot of sense.
With a reported fee of around £51m, he would be an awful lot cheaper than the Newcastle man and would give Arne Slot a versatile attacking option who is only going to get better.
However, Fofana is primarily a left-sided player, and it should be remembered that Liverpool have Rio Ngumoha ready to explode.
There have been claims that Liverpool won’t go in for Barcola because of Ngumoha, and given his younger age, Fofana is arguably even more likely to block the 16-year-old’s pathway.
So, while it seems likely that the Lyon star could be on the move in the next fortnight, we do not think it will be to Liverpool.
But as Fofana says, in football you never know.
