Liverpool reinvigorated their Premier League title hopes with a 3-1 win at Fulham on Sunday.

Writing for the Daily Mail, Lewis Steele argues: "Liverpool saw something in Ryan Gravenberch that Bayern Munich did not.

He had a few shaky touches to start and looked a yard off the pace, but grew in confidence and started to dictate proceedings from midfield."

Over on The Mirror's Liverpool pages, Mark Jones scribes: "It was one of those days when news of big Liverpool changes had begun to leak hours before the game, with Jurgen Klopp opting to try and freshen his side up after back-to-back Premier League disappointments.

"When one of those changes involves leaving Mo Salah on the bench then there's your headline, but in truth they were alterations that have been a long time coming, with Klopp unable to make them for far too long due to Liverpool's injury issues.

It was startling to look at the Reds' bench here and admire the strength of it, and how the Liverpool boss must have wished he'd had such options earlier in the campaign.

"And so Liverpool move back level with Arsenal, pushing Manchester City down to third on a weekend when they had cup commitments to attend to.

"It is still hugely likely that the ribbons on the Premier League trophy come the end of the season and sky blue once more, but as Pep Guardiola moans about fatigue and City face a couple of tricky away games, the hope for Liverpool is still there."

The Times' Alyson Rudd mused: "In a performance that was as contained as recent efforts have been almost unsightly in their degree of chaos, Liverpool moved level on points with Arsenal at the top of the Premier League.

Klopp was a staunch advocate of the use of five substitutes and here he used them not to turn things around but rather to hammer home the message that this game had been won and he wanted to give a run out to those he felt needed limited exposure amid the mayhem of fixture congestion."

And in the ECHO's verdict, Ian Doyle stated: "The clock may be ticking down on Jurgen Klopp’s reign, but still Liverpool are determined to ensure a glorious farewell for their departing manager.

"There was more than a measure of defiance laced in both his trademark post-match triple first-pump towards a delighted away end and the cheers returned in response.

After so much positivity throughout much of a surprisingly successful campaign, the last few weeks have seen doubts seep into the minds of Reds supporters and, in some respects, the legs of Klopp’s players.

"Having started the month two points clear before stumbles against Manchester United and Crystal Palace sandwiched a Europa League shocker against Atalanta, there has been a suggestion that Liverpool, having far exceeded expectations, were running out of gas.

And with it came renewed hope that, with five games remaining, the Premier League title can still be snaffled."
