Harvey Elliott has already dropped a couple of hints that he could leave Liverpool this summer amid suggestions he could be included as part of a deal for Florian Wirtz.
The Reds are still working on an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen to sign the German international.
Two offers already look to have been rejected, with Liverpool not yet reaching the 2024 Bundesliga champion’s valuation.
It still seems likely that Wirtz will be heading to Anfield though, especially after Manchester City dropped out of the race and Bayern Munich seemingly admitted defeat.
Other players may also provide options should Liverpool want to keep hold of the aforementioned duo.
Elliott though would appear to fit the bill in terms of a straight swap for Wirtz, and given he struggled for game time under Arne Slot during the 2024/25 campaign, it’s likely his minutes would suffer even more if the German arrived at Anfield.
And Elliott himself has already discussed the possibility of him leaving Liverpool this summer, with his recent comments suggesting he might well have to look elsewhere.

Liverpool has had two offers rejected for Florian Wirtz so far.
I'm here at the moment and I'm focusing on the final game."
Those comments came less than a month after Elliott first admitted he could end up leaving Liverpool this summer
Given the choice though, it seems he doesn’t want to move away from Anfield.
“You never know what is going to happen around the corner,” Elliott told the Liverpool Echo back in April
