It was another night to remember for Liverpool in the Champions League at Anfield.

Virgil van Dijk’s stoppage-time header gave the Reds a 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid as the team’s knack for finding late winners continued.

Liverpool were 2-0 up after just six minutes but were pegged back to 2-2 with just nine minutes of the match remaining.

Former Liverpool man Harvey Elliott scored Aston Villa’s first goal of the season on Tuesday night.

Staying with the Villa game, Unai Emery has explained why reported Liverpool target Morgan Rogers didn’t step up to the spot in the penalty shootout.

"I don't know if he is good or not (at taking them)."

Liverpool have been credited with an interest in Rogers, while they will be doing their research on him, it seems that his quality from the penalty spot is not something that is able to be judged.
