Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott shared a reaction after confirmation emerged of a player officially leaving the club.

It has been a summer of big change under Arne Slot, with Liverpool reshaping their squad through high-profile arrivals and major exits.

Liverpool broke their transfer record to sign Florian Wirtz, whilst also adding Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong earlier this summer.

Further arrivals are expected, as Liverpool have agreed a British record fee to sign Alexander Isak worth £130 million.

But such heavy investment has also meant players moving on, with players such as Trent-Alexander Arnold, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz leaving, whilst Aston Villa have agreed to sign Elliott on loan.

Despite Elliott closing in on an exit himself, he was among the players to react as a departure from the club has been confirmed.

Football Insider had revealed earlier in August that Liverpool were open to offers for Tsimikas after it was made clear he has fallen further down the pecking order.

With Liverpool signing Kerkez and Robertson’s proposed move to Atletico Madrid collapsing, the 29-year-old was facing the prospect of being third-choice at left-back had he stayed at Anfield.

RB Leipzig were close to signing Elliott and were at the final stages of talks, but Unai Emery’s side swooped in on deadline day to finalise the deal.
