Sunday's Premier League 2024/25 season finale at Anfield will likely be remembered as Trent Alexander-Arnold's last game for Liverpool.
Midfielder Harvey Elliott's future is still completely up in the air, especially after the talented 22-year-old received just two league starts this season under new manager Arne Slot, something he admitted "has been hard."
Elliott received a warm ovation from the Anfield faithful as he lifted the Premier League trophy to the crowd.
The midfielder joined Liverpool from Fulham in 2019 at 16 years old after becoming, at the time, the youngest debutant in Premier League history.
Elliott grew into a key squad player in the last few years, earning 1,352 and 1,613 Premier League minutes in Jurgen Klopp's last two seasons with the club.
Elliott scored one of Liverpool's most important goals of the season: the winner in a smash-and-grab 1-0 away win to PSG in the Round of 16.
He scored his first league goal of the season against Brighton in early May and admitted his lack of minutes contributed to his up-and-down form
"But the last few months, he is back to his old level again."
Elliott could look for a move to a mid-table Premier League side — Wolves is one option — or seek a move abroad in hopes of securing more game time ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
