Liverpool have just four days left in which to make sure their attack is in the best possible shape for the first half of the season.
The Reds have had a good summer window on the whole, but having sold Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez, still look a touch short at the top end of the pitch.

All summer long, a move for Alexander Isak has been in the offing, but with Newcastle less than willing sellers, it has been hard to make progress.
On Thursday, the dam appeared to break to a degree.
Newcastle are close to signing Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart, potentially leaving the door open for Liverpool to sign Isak.
However, it is still going to take Liverpool meeting the Magpies’ asking price in order for a deal to be agreed.
And with that in mind, it has been confirmed whether Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson could then come into play.

After Chelsea signed Liam Delap and then Joao Pedro this summer, Jackson is clearly available for the right price.
At times it has appeared that Newcastle could make a move for the Senegalese, but the imminent signing of Woltemade is likely to put an end to those rumours.

And according to journalist Dominic King, there is also no chance of Jackson ending up at Liverpool.
Despite some rumours, King says that is a story that simply will not happen.

“Nicolas Jackson’s name has been mentioned with Liverpool, at varying times.
It won’t happen – and there has never been any intention of it happening,” the reporter posted on X.
“There’s a prime target for Liverpool in terms of a striker, you all know who it is.
Juventus have an interest in Jackson.”
Newcastle’s likely capture of Isak has given fresh hope to Liverpool fans that they could get their top target after all.
The Reds do not like to compromise in the market, hence the stance over Jackson, and if Isak had not been available it is probable that they would simply push on with what they had.
Jackson has been deemed an ‘unbelievable’ player by former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch, but it is clear that Isak is a level or two above.
And, following the Woltemade news on Thursday, journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Liverpool are set to return to the table for the Swede.
“Liverpool are ready to go all-in and bid again for Alexander Isak, as player’s stance has never changed,” Romano posted on X.
“Isak only wants LFC and if Newcastle decide to open doors after Woltemade (+1 more striker also expected to join), Liverpool are ready.”
