When Jurgen Klopp first announced he was going to leave Liverpool, it left many shocked and saddened.

But talk quickly turned to who was going to replace the legendary figure at Anfield.

In next to no time, Xabi Alonso, who has now won the Bundesliga title with Bayer Leverkusen, was being tipped to take to the Liverpool dugout and perceived to be one of the favourites.

But that was quickly shutdown, before fans began to question, who in world football actually has the minerals to replace Klopp and also deal with the heat of the Anfield kitchen?!

The issue across European football today is that it isn’t blessed with a trophy-winning coach after trophy-winning coach.

Yes, they are about.

Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid or the marmite-like figure, Jose Mourinho.

These individuals are either in a high-profile job already, so you simply aren’t going to get them out or they are deemed to be past their peak.

One man who has won the biggest trophy of them all – The UEFA Champions League – is former Chelsea and PSG boss, Thomas Tuchel.

The German is currently manager of Bayern Munich, who are in the semi-finals of Europe’s elite competition, but he will depart at the end of the campaign after losing out on the title to Leverkusen.

Given that he will be a free agent in the summer, Simon Jordan was sure to fire shots at the 50-year-old and explain that another elite job won’t come his way again, including Liverpool, as he told talkSPORT.

The former Crystal Palace owner stated ‘I don’t think there is ever a parallel universe where Liverpool would take Thomas Tuchel as their manager’ because of his ‘decisive’ character.
