Jose Enrique has lauded Dominik Szoboszlai as one of the best signings of the season, with the midfielder transforming Liverpool’s fortunes.

Writing on Instagram, the former Anfield defender was full of praise for the Hungarian international, who last night was in exceptional form as Szoboszlai inspired his nation to qualification for Euro 2024.

Hitting form at the right time ahead of Liverpool’s huge Premier League encounter against Manchester City, the 23-year-old has been quite amazing under Jurgen Klopp this season.

Also lauded by Tony Cascarino in recent days, it’s easy to see why Szoboszlai is winning so many plaudits having moved to Liverpool this summer in a £60m deal.

The former RB Leipzig superstar has taken to English football like a duck to water, and it’s hard to think of another player who has been as good for a Premier League side since signing this summer.

Indeed, Liverpool have found a bargain in Szoboszlai, and Enrique’s praise doesn’t even scratch the surface on how much of an impact the midfielder has made for the Reds this season.

Szoboszlai has been a much-needed breath of fresh air in Liverpool’s midfield, with the Hungarian maestro bringing energy and dynamism to Klopp’s system.

Having only been in the Premier League for three months, it is scary to predict just how good Szoboszlai can become if the midfielder continues on his current trajectory with Liverpool.

And for many fans, silverware is the main end-goal for Szoboszlai’s time at Anfield, with the Premier League a realistic aim for this season.

Whilst we are still very much at the start of Szoboszlai’s Liverpool career, the possibilities are endless for the midfielder, who has the potential to take the English giants back to the very top of the game.
