Manager says ‘perfect’ boss is ‘ready for Liverpool’ even though he’s young

Red Bull Bragantino boss Pedro Caixinha has named a manager who is now mature enough to replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

The Reds’ search for a new manager is ongoing after Jurgen Klopp announced in January that he would be walking away at the end of the season.

The German is among the best managers in world football. He has done an outstanding job at Liverpool, and if it wasn’t for Pep Guardiola‘s Manchester City, he’d have had a few more trophies under his belt at Anfield.

Liverpool have slipped up over the last 10 days and are now third in the Premier League table. They need a huge comeback in the Europa League as well to qualify for the semi-finals.

All eyes will be on that in the next few weeks, but Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes are expected to speed up the process of finding the new Liverpool manager.

Caixinha has now delivered his verdict on one of the Reds’ key targets to replace Klopp.

Pedro Caixinha dismisses major concern about Ruben Amorim for Liverpool fans

Ruben Amorim has been heavily linked with the Liverpool job over the last month or so.

The 39-year-old has done an amazing job at Sporting Lisbon. His side have a great chance of winning the Portuguese League title and he could be on his way out soon after.

Numerous reports have claimed that Amorim is the favourite to become the next Liverpool manager. Some people, like Nigel Reo-Coker, view him as the ‘perfect‘ choice to replace Jurgen Klopp (CBS).

However, there are a few concerns about Amorim. He is still only 39 years old, which is very young for a manager. That’s just two years older than Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian.

Another worry for some fans is that Amorim has never managed in the Premier League or even the top-five leagues in Europe.

Caixinha, who has over two decades of experience as a manager, has now come out and claimed that Amorim is definitely ready to become the next Liverpool boss.

He said on the Final Cut podcast: “Ruben Amorim is ready for Liverpool and I don’t think he’s too young. He has maturity, footballing experience, knowledge and preparation.

“There’s been a lot of talk about his preparation, because he didn’t have a Pro Licence and he was on the bench. He was, if I’m not mistaken, the only national champion to then finish the UEFA Pro course and, as far as I know, he did it with the same humility and naturalness.

“He had already completed a postgraduate course. He’s a person who wants to graduate and believes in what he does. He’s very proud, incisive, but he knows that the path is there and it’s for him, and that everyone has to follow it.”

Ruben Amorim could make Premier League history at Liverpool

Liverpool will likely accelerate their plans to appoint Jurgen Klopp’s successor in the coming weeks.

Ruben Amorim is the only name on the Reds’ wish list right now, and all signs point towards him becoming the next Reds manager.

If Amorim does end up at Liverpool this summer, the Portuguese will have the chance to make Premier League history by becoming the youngest-ever manager to win the title.

Jose Mourinho currently holds that record – he won the Premier League with Chelsea in 2005, when he was just 42 years and 94 days old.

Amorim will turn 42 only in 2027, which means he will have about three years to break Mourinho’s record if he becomes Liverpool’s manager this summer.
