Liverpool are continuing to deal with the fallout from Mohamed Salah’s weekend argument with Jurgen Klopp.

Since returning from injury in February, Salah has had as difficult a patch as he’s ever faced with the Reds.

In poor personal form, we’ve quite possibly seen the Egyptian’s worst period in a Liverpool shirt.



As a result, it was no surprise to see Klopp bench him for the weekend trip to West Ham.

As you might expect, there were already reports prior to the match that Mo was not happy.

With Salah’s attitude called into question, Darren Bent has shared a story of what Jordan Henderson once told him about the Egyptian.

Having spent seven years at Anfield with Salah, Henderson is of course very well placed to comment on his former teammate.

Up until his exit last summer, the Liverpool captain of eight years was one of the absolute key names around the AXA Training Centre.

And, thankfully, even though he hasn’t personally weighed in on the current issue with Salah and Klopp, Bent told TalkSPORT that Henderson would attest to the Liverpool No.11’s exemplary attitude.

“You don’t know the conversations Klopp’s had with Salah this week,” Bent’s co-host Andy Goldstein argues.

He’s spoke about Salah before, [he says Salah is] the most professional person you could ever meet.

“He’s annoyed he’s not playing.

Even Salah on a bad day, I’d still pick him.”

With only three games left of Klopp’s tenure with Liverpool, there isn’t too much time for Salah to put things right here.

Of course, we’re absolutely sure that things will be settled between the two of them, though.

They’ve been far too important to each other’s respective careers for it not to be.

And according to journalist David Ornstein, Liverpool aren’t especially bothered about the incident.

The Reds are said to be unconcerned that it’s any bigger than simply frustrations boiling over after a difficult period.

As Bent says, there shouldn’t be any doubt at all about the professionalism of Salah, while Jurgen is also beyond reproach.
