Erling Haaland has had an outstanding start to the season, scoring in all but one game so far for club and country.
The only time Haaland didn’t find the net was in Manchester City’s 2-0 defeat to Tottenham, but apart from that, he has been unstoppable.
In the Premier League, the Norwegian striker has six goals in just five games, and is already streaking clear in the race for the Golden Boot.
On Sunday (21 September) evening, Haaland was on the scoresheet once again, as Man City conceded a late equaliser to draw 1-1 with Arsenal.

Haaland opened the scoring at the Emirates, making a bursting run from the halfway line before being slipped through by Tijjani Reijnders and finishing into the bottom corner.
It is a side to the 25-year-old’s game that we don’t see too often in the Premier League, where he regularly comes up against a low block, but on this occasion he took full advantage of Arsenal’s high line.
Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, former Man City defender Micah Richards claimed that Haaland would score 60 goals a season if he came up against such an aggressive backline every game.

Richards said: “He (Haaland) must have been delighted with the space he had to run into.
If he had that every week, he’d score 50 goals a season; he would score 60 even.
“When he went through one-on-one, I had no doubt in my mind that he was going to score.
He’s not going to scuff it, he’s going to put it in one of the corners, and it was a brilliant finish.”
Meanwhile, Real Madrid and Barcelona are considering ambitious moves to tempt Haaland away from the Etihad in 2026, sources have told Football Insider.

Man City were tipped to sell Haaland during the summer window to aid in their plans to undergo a mass overhaul of Guardiola‘s squad after a dismal season.
Sources say the striker remains a crucial player for City, and they have no intention of entertaining talks about his potential departure.
Interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona comes as no surprise given his stature in the game, but any deal for him to leave Man City is considered highly unlikely.
