Paul Slane backs Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou to be the next Liverpool manager Speaking to Grosvenor Sport (h/t Liverpool Echo), former Celtic player Paul Slane has backed Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou to be the manager to succeed Jurgen Klopp on the manager’s hot seat at Liverpool.

Shane sounds pretty confident about the fact that the former manager of Australia would be the new manager of Liverpool, once Jurgen Klopp departs.

The 57-year-old Australian manager was the boss at Yokohama F.M before he took the role as Celtic’s manager in the summer of 2021.

Slane might be very receptive to the manager, considering he has been impressive since joining Celtic as a manager however, to claim that he can make the shift from Celtic to Liverpool is rather ridiculous.

Paul Slane shows immense praise for the Celtic manager, who, in his first season at the club won the Scottish Premiership.

Only last season we were competing for a historic quadruple and there is an acceptance that Liverpool have started the season slowly but ultimately Klopp is the right person to bring the team back to its best.

Postecoglou started his career in the Japanese national league and then only managed teams in the Australian league before making the switch to Celtic.
