Tottenham supporters are calling for Yves Bissouma to be sold after Thomas Frank revealed the reason behind his absence ahead of PSG.

Spurs are set to encounter the Ligue 1 giants in the Super Cup final on Wednesday, 13 August, after lifting the Europa League title as their opponents thumped Inter Milan in the Champions League final.

Luis Enrique is set to be in the dugout, much to the shock of ex-FIFA official Keith Hackett, after the Spaniard was captured slapping Chelsea’s Joao Pedro at the Club World Cup over the summer.

One player not in attendance at the final, however, will be Bissouma, who was not chosen to travel with the squad, and Frank has now revealed the reason as to why.

Citing the reason as being late on multiple occasions, the Mali international was left at home due to disciplinary issues, which is not the first time in Bissouma’s case.

In August last year, he was suspended after footage of him inhaling laughing gas was posted on social media, with Ange Postecoglou suggesting that he would need to regain trust before coming back into the team.

After yet more issues with the 28-year-old, fans have now turned on Bissouma, who is already likely to leave Tottenham, Football Insider understands, just three summers after joining from Brighton.

Frank has some very tricky decisions to make, especially with Joao Palhinha joining on loan from Bayern Munich, but this could not be easier for the former Brentford man.

With his time in North London almost up, clearly, one supporter simply said, “he’s finished”, while another wrote: “His time to go is NOW,” and the majority of supporters feel the same way.

The former Brighton talent has never really settled in at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, making 100 appearances since his £25million move, and might not be making any more next season.

One fan has raised a good point, however.

With all of the off-pitch discipline problems, he might become a difficult player to offload, at least until next summer when his contract runs out.

Both he and Rodrigo Bentancur face similar contract situations in North London, but supporters would much rather keep the Uruguayan than hang onto Bissouma for years to come.
