Liverpool will be without right-back Jeremie Frimpong when they face Newcastle United on Monday.
The Reds head up to St James’ Park knowing they are in for a tough game as the Magpies aim to exact a measure of revenge.
Although Liverpool have batted away suggestions of a ‘hijack’ over Hugo Ekitike earlier this summer, Newcastle are reportedly aggrieved at the manner of their pursuit of Alexander Isak.
As a result, Monday’s match has taken on a new feel, with Eddie Howe’s team and their fans seemingly desperate to beat Liverpool.
With Newcastle fired up, Arne Slot could do with having his full Liverpool squad available for this one.
Unfortunately, news emerged on Thursday that Jeremie Frimpong could miss the game.
And speaking to the press later in the day, Slot confirmed the news.
And while Slot said Bradley was back in light training, he admitted that Frimpong certainly was not.

“Conor trained for a few minutes with us today for the first time, and with Jeremie the medical team were completely right to tell me to take him off [against Bournemouth],” said the Liverpool head coach.
“He’s out until the end of the international break.

“I think I got criticised a bit for taking him off, it had nothing to do with how he played, we felt he had an issue in his hamstring and the medical team were completely right.
“So, good call to take him off or he would maybe have been out for longer.
But we expect to have him back after the international break.”
Obviously, adding to Bradley’s injury, this means that Liverpool have a grand total of zero natural right-backs heading to St James’ Park.
Ironically, this was also an issue during the Carabao Cup final in March, when Jarell Quansah was forced to start in an unnatural position.
For Slot, the clear option now appears to be Joe Gomez, but with the 28-year-old only just coming back from an issue himself, the boss gave his thoughts on who could start at right-back against Newcastle.
“A few more can play there,” he insisted.
He is training with the team so let’s see how he is if he can even start, but we have other options in this positions.”
