Brentford supporters finally have reason to be excited as Keith Andrews’ side are linked with a high-profile striker this summer.
The Bees have already lost Bryan Mbeumo to Man United for £71million [BBC Sport], with Yoane Wissa pushing for a move away from the Gtech Community Stadium amid interest from Newcastle United.
Nothing 39 goals between them in the Premier League last season, losing the duo has been a rather daunting prospect for the fans, but there is a very real chance that it comes to fruition.
Deals for Caoimhin Kelleher, Antoni Milambo, and Jordan Henderson have settled some nerves, but it seems like very little business for a team being tipped to be relegated from the Premier League next term.

Losing Thomas Frank to Tottenham was also a major blow, having become an important member of the surrounding community, leaving Andrews with massive boots to fill.
Fans have been given a newfound hope, however, with Mike McGrath reporting (12 August) that the Bees are in talks with Rennes over a deal for Arnaud Kalimuendo, alongside Dango Ouattara.
The 23-year-old bagged 17 goals and three assists in Ligue 1 last season, having scored 15 goals in the previous campaign, becoming quite the talent over in France.

With multiple Premier League clubs monitoring his situation, having also won an Olympic silver medal, supporters at the Gtech are, understandably, extremely excited about the prospect of him signing.
One supporter said that Kalimuendo has a “much higher ceiling” than Wissa, who could be set to join Newcastle this summer, with another fan on his “knees” for the deal to get done.
While the Bees invested heavily in Thiago Rodrigues lsat season, having picked up an early injury, the Brazilian has been unable to prove himself just yet, and may need a new striker partner next term.
It has been a rather frustrating season for Andrews and his team, only bringing in a handful of players, but the signing of this 23-year-old talent could certainly make the difference between survival and relegation.
