With only four matches left of the Klopp era on Merseyside, there will be a new face in the dugout for the first time since 2015.
But what might Liverpool look like if the deal is completed and Slot becomes the new Reds boss?
The idea that what comes next at Anfield is a continuation of what came before makes a lot of sense.

Given that Liverpool plays an attractive and front-foot style at the moment and it is generally working, whoever takes over from Klopp is unlikely to change a great deal.
Moving Alexander-Arnold forward takes up a position that could be played by someone else like Dominik Szoboszlai or Curtis Jones, which seems like something of a waste.
Given that Slot has tended to play with a back four and that is the way that the Liverpool squad looks best suited to, we can assume that stays the same.
If Slot were to keep the 4-2-3-1, that could involve a slightly different role for someone like Szoboszlai or Harvey Elliott.
Salah, in particular, looks like he needs a bit of a reset at the moment, though he may not be fully over the injury that has stopped him from playing in a big chunk of 2024.
If he were to move to a 4-3-3 and align himself with what Liverpool has mainly done to this point (it is, in fairness, also a system that Slot has used in the past), things would look very similar in terms of the starting team
Having someone else to rotate into the starting XI would be beneficial given that he can't seem to play three games in a week.
How might Liverpool look under Slot, then
