Liverpool fans will get the chance to watch Florian Wirtz in action this week as talks over a potential transfer continue.

The Reds recently submitted a £109million bid to sign the Bayer Leverkusen star, which was subsequently rejected by the Bundesliga club.

The German club are reported to value Wirtz at a fee closer to £125million.

The summer transfer window opened on Sunday and will remain so until June 10, thanks to the Club World Cup.

The window will be closed for almost a week before reopening for the rest of the summer on June 16.
