Alexander Isak's potential departure from Newcastle United may impact Manchester United's pursuit of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.
Despite securing the services of Matheus Cunha in early June and recently finalising the signing of Bryan Mbeumo, United are still on the hunt for more attacking options.
After Viktor Gyokeres turned down a reunion with Ruben Amorim to prioritise a move to Arsenal, the Red Devils' focus has seemingly shifted to Sesko.
With the Gunners close to securing Gyokeres, United seemed to have a clear path to the towering Slovenian.
However, if Newcastle offload Isak, who has been linked with Liverpool and requested to explore a transfer away from St James' Park on Thursday, the Magpies are likely to target Sesko.
The Daily Mail also reported that Newcastle have reached out to German club about the possibility of signing Sesko, who could potentially be purchased for a sum between £60million and £70m.
They recently had a £25m offer for Yoane Wissa rejected by Brentford, who appear reluctant to let their striker leave after already selling Mbeumo to United.
Given that the Magpies are participating in the Champions League this season, United may struggle to lure Sesko to Old Trafford.

Furthermore, having already splashed out approximately £132.5m on Mbeumo and Cunha, United will probably need to offload players before they can make a substantial bid, whereas Newcastle could have ample funds at their disposal if Isak's departure is expedited.

After netting only 44 goals in the Premier League last season, United are still in dire need of a lethal striker.
However, it's currently understood that they're not expected to table a bid for the Senegal international.

French media outlet Foot Mercato has reported that Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani, who spent last season on loan at Juventus, is another potential target for United, while Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins has also been linked.
