The Athletic has revealed the amount Liverpool will demand to part ways with Ben Doak.
The Scotland international enjoyed a productive loan spell at Middlesbrough, where he made 24 appearances, scored three goals, and registered seven assists.
However, surgery on a thigh injury he suffered earlier this year means that he will no longer play for the Championship club.
Doak is back at Liverpool to recover ahead of the summer, where he is likely to attract interest from Premier League and Championship sides.
As widely reported, Liverpool are expected to be busy in the upcoming transfer window.
The club intend to strengthen the squad as well as sell players, deemed surplus to requirements at the club.
One player, whose exit is considered almost certain, is Darwin Nunez.
The striker is struggling for game time this season and will likely move to Saudi Arabia or Atletico Madrid, who are also said to be keen.
Other players, whose exit Liverpool will not mind sanctioning, if the right offers come, are Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Joe Gomez and Kostas Tsimikas.
All these players will not be short of buyers, given that they still have something to offer.
Another member of the Liverpool squad likely to attract a lot of interest in the summer is Ben Doak.
Although the 19-year-old is not one of the players Arne Slot intends to sell this summer, Liverpool may be tempted to part ways with him if the right offer comes.
According to The Athletic, Liverpool are “braced” for interest in Doak.
While it is not actively looking to sell, it would consider a transfer for more than £30 million.
Meanwhile, Boro coach Michael Carrick has admitted Doak’s loan move benefited both Liverpool and his club.
“It was a loan move that proved successful in both ways,” said Carrick, reflecting on Doak’s three goals and seven assists in his time at the club.
“Obviously, it’s unfortunate in the way it got cut short, particularly at the time it did and for how long.
“Ben had a big impact for us, and I think he’s benefited from being with us personally as well, which also helps Liverpool?
I think everything felt the benefit of that move.”
