Liverpool FC have announced a special Jurgen Klopp farewell event, with supporters able to purchase tickets for what will no doubt be a magical and historic night.

The day many Liverpool fans are dreading is now well on the horizon.

Liverpool only have two more games left under Jurgen Klopp, with only one more remaining at Anfield come Wolves on the final matchday of the season.

The 56-year-old has brought immense success to Liverpool since his arrival at Anfield in 2015, guiding the club to the Premier League title in 2020 and the Champions League triumph in 2019 among many other titles.

However, as everyone knows, he will step down at the end of the campaign with a lack of energy cited as the main factor for his decision.

It certainly shocked the footballing world that fateful morning on January 26, 2024.

His departure still doesn’t feel real, but will be when he delivers his final fist cheer at an emotional Kop End on 19 May.

Luckily, fans will have another opportunity to say goodbye to their beloved manager.

Liverpool FC confirm special farewell for Jurgen Klopp

The club have announced ‘An Evening with Jürgen Klopp & Special Guests’.

It will take place on Tuesday, May 28, at the city’s M&S Bank Arena.

The event celebrates Klopp’s nine-year tenure as LFC manager and marks his farewell to the fans.

Hosted by lifelong Reds supporter John Bishop, the night will feature performances by Liverpool bands Lightning Seeds and The Zutons, among others, including the acclaimed singer Alfie Boe.

Organized in partnership with promoter AEG, the evening will also feature a live Q&A session with Klopp, facilitated by LFCTV’s Peter McDowall.

Jurgen Klopp said of the event:

“This is going to be a very special night, with lots of fantastic memories shared and plenty of great music too.”

“I’m really looking forward to spending it with our fans, the heartbeat of this wonderful and unique club.” 

How to get your tickets for Jurgen Klopp farewell

As mentioned, the event will take place on Tuesday, May 28, at the city’s M&S Bank Arena.

Doors to the M&S Bank Arena will open at 6.30pm and the event will start at 8pm.

Liverpool FC statement on tickets for the event:

“LFC season ticket holders and Official Members will be able to pre-register their interest for a chance to purchase up to four tickets per registration.”

“Seasonal hospitality members will be able to pre-register their interest in hospitality tickets for up to the maximum number of seats they are contracted to seasonally.”

According to the club’s website, it would seem that LFC season ticket holders, official members, and seasonal hospitality holders have the chance to ‘jump the queue’ by registering before the deadline of Monday 13 May 8am BST.

Full selling details will then be further published on 14 May – presumably then open to the broader fanbase.
