Liverpool and Crystal Palace will clash in the 103rd FA Community Shield at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, 10 August, with kickoff scheduled for 15:00 BST.
As the traditional curtain-raiser for the English football season, this one-off fixture pits Premier League champions Liverpool against FA Cup holders Crystal Palace in a bid for early silverware and bragging rights.
Palace will be making their first-ever appearance in the Community Shield, while Liverpool chase a 17th outright win in their 25th appearance in the competition.
Oliver Glasner commented on Liverpool’s transfer business while on pre-season in Austria, and admitted he was surprised by the money bags approach:
“Liverpool have obviously invested heavily this year with Florian Wirz, Hugo Ekitike, Frimpong and Kerkez.
And it seems that Liverpool FC isn’t satisfied with just winning the English league; I think they want to win the Champions League.”
“And they obviously saw that we needed to add one or two things to the squad, and they made that very clear and explicit early on this summer.”
With that in mind, let’s take a look at how to watch the Wembley showpiece this Sunday.
In a notable shift this year, the Community Shield has been removed from free-to-air television after ITV’s long-standing coverage ended.
Instead, fans in the United Kingdom will have to tune in live on TNT Sports 1, with coverage commencing at 14:00 BST ahead of the 15:00 kickoff.
Stream options are available via TNT Sports’ digital platforms and discovery+, ensuring access both on television and online for those without a TV subscription.
Across the Atlantic, viewers in the United States can catch every moment of the action on ESPN+.
The match will be available through the ESPN+ streaming service and the ESPN soccer hub, with kickoff set for 10:00 a.m?
ET.
Liverpool FC’s own streaming service, All Red Video (formerly LFCTV GO), will cover the 2025 Community Shield final as part of its extensive live and on-demand club content.
Subscribers can watch live coverage of the match via the service, which offers a 24/7 live feed of LFCTV – the club’s official channel -alongside exclusive interviews, documentaries, and classic highlights.
