It’s set to be a hugely emotional day as Liverpool gets its pre-season schedule underway against Championship side Preston later.
The Reds make the short journey to Deepdale for their first game since the tragic news of Diogo Jota’s death, with the Portugal international having died in a car accident alongside his brother Andre Silva.
A rendition of You’ll Never Walk Alone will be sung before the game, with the hosts laying a wreath in front of the traveling supporters, while a special matchday program honoring Jota and his brother will be available for free for supporters.
Those not able to make it to Deepdale will be able to watch the tributes and the action from home, with the game set to be broadcast for free in the UK.
The game will be shown live on ITV1, with coverage getting underway 20 minutes before kick-off at 2:40 p.m.
