Russell Martin could last just 11 matches in charge before being replaced as Rangers manager at Ibrox.
The former Southampton figure has won just three matches since being appointed over the summer, with his team unable to claim victory in any of their three Scottish Premiership games so far.
As well as feeling the pressure from frustrated supporters, Nico Raskin’s father has made his feelings known over Martin‘s short reign, with the midfielder understood to be set to miss the clash with Celtic on Sunday, 31 August.
There have also been instances of the teamsheet being leaked days before games, which happened for the Champions League qualifier first leg against Club Brugge, throwing the club into more chaos.
Now, with their Old Firm rivals up next, who also suffered heartbreak in Europe against Kairat Almaty, Tim Sherwood believes it could be the end of the line for Martin with a defeat at Ibrox.
Speaking live on Sky Sports News (30 August, 12:44pm), Sherwood said: “He’s managed to get a big job in Glasgow Rangers, which is a load of pressure, huge amounts of pressure.

“I would suggest that if he loses to Celtic, the walls will be surrounding him, and it’ll be a huge problem for him to keep his job,” which is a huge claim after just three months in charge.

Martin’s apparent issues with Raskin are just the tip of the iceberg, with the manager more than happy to throw his players under the bus when talking to the media, rather than take responsibility.
The Light Blues are yet to record two wins in a row this season, having now been demoted to the Europa League, as well as sitting seventh in the Scottish Premiership table.
Before taking on the Hoops at Ibrox, Martin is facing a visit from Andrew Cavenagh, the leading figure in 49ers Enterprises‘ takeover, and says everything about the current situation.

The 39-year-old is already running out of time.
Managers are given very little time to turn their fortunes around, but even Barry Ferguson was given more time because of the situation he was handed.
While fans are eager for the current boss to be sacked, even before facing Celtic, it remains to be seen who would be chosen to take over, given that the Gers are stuck in a major rut right now.
Rodgers’ future is also uncertain, given the Hoops’ recent exit from Europe, but he is more likely to leave his post rather than be let go by the hierarchy this season.
