Arne Slot was not too happy post-match, and it seems that his punishment may also extend to an internal one from the club.
Dominic King, writing in his Liverpool Confidential, has revealed that Ekitike could have two weeks of his wages docked as a result of his behavior:
“The France international had made a brilliant start to his career on Merseyside but four goals in a handful of games was not going to save him from a club fine for his lack of discipline – it is yet to be confirmed, but Ekitike is likely to be docked two weeks’ wages.”
