Liverpool are still in the market for more signings and believe Alexander Isak would bolster their attack despite securing the signing of Hugo Ekitike this week.

Ekitike has addressed playing with a strike partner during his first Liverpoolfc.com interview.

The club described him as a versatile forward and asked whether he feels equally comfortable playing anywhere across the front line.



So, I can do both – I can play alone, and I like to play also with another striker, and I think that's what makes me versatile, but you know now in this football you need to adapt."

Ekitike played alongside Omar Marmoush up front for the first half of last season before Manchester City signed the Egypt international.

Isak has also operated out wide, first for his boyhood club, AIK, and then Borussia Dortmund, Newcastle and Real Sociedad.

And Ekitike's comments show the pair could play alongside each other at Liverpool, should Isak eventually opt to make the move from Newcastle.
