Hugo Ekitike will become a Liverpool player for £79million (Image: Getty Images)
Hugo Ekitike is poised to jet off to Liverpool tomorrow (Tuesday) for a medical, following the Reds' agreement of a £79million deal with Eintracht Frankfurt for the striker.
The initial payment stands at £69m, with an additional £10m contingent on club and player performance throughout his contract duration.
Liverpool will tie the French U21 international down to a six-year contract, keeping him at Anfield until 2031.
While these details are yet to be finalised, they will be once Ekitike lands in Merseyside.
As Liverpool's players and staff head to the Far East for pre-season preparations, medical staff and sporting director Richard Hughes will stay behind at the training ground to wrap up Ekitike's transfer.

Once the deal is sealed, Ekitike will fly out to Asia to join his new team-mates.
The add-ons in the deal are tied to the club winning trophies and exceptional player performance, similar to the Florian Wirtz transfer.
Newcastle withdrew from the race for Ekitike last week after the player expressed his preference for Liverpool.
The Magpies had a bid in the region of £70m bid rejected due to insufficient add-ons.
Liverpool maintain their interest in Newcastle's Alexander Isak, but the north east club insist he is not for sale.
