Hugo Ekitike speaks his first words after being unveiled by the club on Thursday.

Liverpool finally sealed the deal a few days ago to sign Ekitike from the German side Frankfurt.

They had 2–3 names on the list, but the French forward was chosen from that shortlist.

Although another big name, Alexander Isak, is still on Liverpool’s list even after signing Hugo Ekitike.

The Dutch manager might want to build a team that suits a 4-4-2 formation, as he seems to be planning to go with that for the upcoming season.

Hugo Ekitike said: “I can’t define myself only as a striker [who likes] to finish: I like to play, I like to be in the game, in the collective part of play [and] create also.

So, I can do both – I can play alone and I like to play also with another striker.”

He also sent a message to the fans: “Hey fans!

Here [is] Hugo Ekitike, new Scouser!

Since I talked to the coach, in my head I was sure about it.”
