Hugo Ekitike has already laid down a challenge to Alexander Isak.(Image: Getty Images)Liverpool star Hugo Ekitike has, once again, publicly expressed his love for former team Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Frenchman joined the Reds from the Bundesliga side this summer for a fee of £69m.
And he has already enjoyed a bright start to life at Anfield having scored in the Community Shield, while he also has two goals from his opening three Premier League outings.
Despite getting comfortable at Anfield, it appears that Ekitike is not set to forget his former club Frankfurt anytime soon.
Following his France debut, Frankfurt released a touching Instagram post that read: "Part of our hearts, continuing his journey - and now part of France national team," while the caption read: "Congrats on your debut for Les Bleus, Heki!"

Ekitike replied in kind by liking the post and also commented three red heart emojis.
It is not the first time that the 23-year-old has been involved in a heart-warming exchange with his old employers.
Upon Liverpool drawing Frankfurt in the Champions League group stage, Frankfurt wrote on social media: "Heki is coming home..."
Ekitike replied with the message "see you soon" - alongside a kiss face emoji.
Ekitike could, potentially, have a battle on his hands retaining his place in the Liverpool side once he returns from international duty, though.
That's because £130m signing Alexander Isak is set to challenge him for a starting spot ahead of the weekend's clash with Burnley.

But Ekitike has warned his new teammate that he has got a fight on his hands to oust him as Liverpool's starting No.9.
"When you play for the best teams, you inevitably expect to be competing with the best players," Ekitike said.
"Isak is a player I used to watch, so seeing him arrive is a pleasure.
"It's going to be tough competition, but I'm going to work hard to be good and perform well so that it's just the coach's problem."
Isak made his first appearance of the campaign on Monday night as he made an 18-minute cameo for Sweden as they lost 2-0 to Kosovo in World Cup qualifying - the striker being booed by the crowd as he took to the pitch.
