Liverpool may still have two games left to play in the Premier League this season, but that hasn’t stopped them moving ahead in the transfer market.
The Reds appear determined to build from a position of strength this summer and have already begun to strengthen the squad.
Jeremie Frimpong is set to arrive from Bayer Leverkusen as Liverpool solidify their right-back plans post-Trent Alexander-Arnold.
On Monday, news also arrived that Liverpool have approached Bournemouth for Milos Kerkez, as they aim to sort their left-back issues nice and early, too.
From there, it looks possible that Liverpool will also add a new striker, a centre-back and potentially another creative midfield player.
As the Reds seek more creativity they have been strongly linked with a move for Lyon playmaker Rayan Cherki.
And after Cherki confirmed his wish to leave Lyon last week, it has now been predicted what the summer holds for the Frenchman.

Before Cherki announced his intention to leave his boyhood club, it had already been expected that he would be on the move this summer.
And as recently as last week, reports in France reported that Liverpool are favourites to sign Cherki.

Although journalist Fabrizio Romano stopped short of naming the Reds in his latest update about the 21-year-old on Sunday evening, he did confirm that Cherki’s next club is expected to be one outside of France.
“This summer I expect English clubs to return because the interest is strong,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.
In January Dortmund were convinced to trigger the release clause of Cherki but the problem was that the clause was not considered valid by Lyon, in France release clauses are not allowed so there was some legal stuff there that complicated things in terms of price tag.”

“Probably the best solution to get Cherki is to try and be collaborative with Lyon, discuss with the president and find the solution.
“I expect clubs to return for Rayan Cherki, I expect to see the player leaving the club,” he reiterated.
The expectation is for Cherki to look for options outside of France to see some new opportunity around Europe.”
With rumours that Cherki will be available for less than £25m this summer, it is easy to see why Liverpool would be interested.
The Reds are trying to add more creativity to their team this summer, and the France U21 star is someone who could certainly fit that bill.
For the time being, it feels likely that Liverpool’s interest in Cherki is tied to what happens with Florian Wirtz.
If Liverpool can get Wirtz, they will have no real need for a Cherki as well.
But if, as seems most probable, Wirtz ends up at Bayern Munich, then that may make this transfer more likely to happen.
A decision on Wirtz is expected to arrive later this week, meaning clarity may arrive regarding Cherki shortly after.
