Liverpool are currently sitting on top of the Premier League table.

Although the main thing that matters is that the Reds have 12 points to their name, the fact that all of their wins have come thanks to goals coming after the 83rd minute is a slight cause for concern.

Indeed, it does show that Arne Slot’s men never give up, but the fact that they can’t hold onto a lead or control a game for an extended period is rather worrying.

That is, especially if they want to win the Premier League and the Champions League this season.

And now, while speaking on talkSPORT, Noel Gallagher has shared his thoughts on who’s more likely to win the title this term out of Arsenal and Liverpool.

“I would put us [Manchester City] third or fourth,” he said.

“Even the game on Sunday, I think we’ll go in there in hope of beating Arsenal, none of us are going in there expecting to win.

“We expect a good game, hopefully we can get something, but you look at Arsenal and Liverpool and they just look stronger than us, it’s going to take time at City, I think.”

Gallagher was then asked by Andy Goldstein about who he thinks will win the Premier League title out of Arsenal and Liverpool.

“Liverpool have got the look of champions because they keep digging it out in the last minute,” he added.

“But then City were doing that last season for the first six games, and then it all fell apart.

“I say this every season, if they don’t win it this season, they’re never going to win it, but genuinely, if they don’t win it this season, I think the manager is out the door.

“Who do I want to win out of the two?

Liverpool, I hate Arsenal.”

On the face of things, Liverpool have had a rather difficult start to the 2025-26 Premier League season.

Indeed, the players will be used to the long and gruelling schedules they endure season after season, but the fact that they only finished their game against Atletico at 11pm on Wednesday and are set to face Everton at 12:30 on Saturday is a rather quick turnaround.

Only time will tell what the future has in store, but even though David Moyes’ men may not have the strongest team in the Premier League, the form they’ve been in has been second-to-none.
