Graeme Souness has suggested that one Liverpool player taken off against Manchester United on Sunday was miles off it, as the Reds were knocked out of the FA Cup at Old Trafford.

But it seems he has not managed to impress Graeme Souness since making his return to the Reds’ side.

Speaking on ITV (broadcast on 17/3; 18:26) after their FA Cup defeat to Manchester United, Souness suggested that he wanted to see a lot more from the 31-year-old at Old Trafford.

“Decision-making at a vital time has cost Liverpool dearly.

So that should allow the Reds to put this defeat behind them a little quicker.

Certainly, Salah will be desperate to make amends after the international break, particularly with the title seemingly set to be decided by the barest of margins.
