Mark Warburton tipped him for the top after he had been compared to Steven Gerrard at Liverpool - but Jordan Rossiter’s career hasn’t quite lived up to that hype.
Injuries restricted the midfielder at Ibrox but, despite that, Warburton had high hopes for Rossister for the Scouser who came through the ranks at Anfield.
He played just 11 times in four years at the Light Blues before heading to the lower leagues in England.
And now the latest chapter in his career has seen Rossiter sign for League of Ireland side Waterford after he was without a club having left Shrewsbury Town in the summer.
After agreeing his new deal, he said:" I can bring a good bit of experience to the group.
"I just love playing football wherever that is, so whether that’s Liverpool, Rangers or Waterford, I just want to enjoy my football, so I’m looking forward to getting out there on the RSC pitch.”

Warburton said during his time at Ibrox: “Jordan’s a top talent and fans will be excited when they see him properly.
He has a fantastic future and when he plays for Rangers he will be here for years to come,” but it never materialised.
Rossiter burst onto the scene for Liverpool in September 2014, scoring a long-range effort against Middlesbrough in a League Cup tie on his debut at just 17.
He captained both Liverpool and England at youth level and, naturally, his budding leadership qualities and reputation as a fierce competitor in the middle of the park drew comparisons with Gerrard.
His raw ability saw Liverpool icon Robbie Fowler brand him as "potentially a young Stevie G".

After taking a closer look at Rossiter in training, Jamie Carragher also hailed his flourishing ability.
"I like the look of him," the Reds legend said.
He's a great talent."
While still ranking as the club's fourth youngest-ever goalscorer, Rossiter's time at Liverpool was cruelly cut short through injury and opportunity.
He made just five senior appearances under Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers and Jurgen Klopp before leaving the club to join Rangers in the summer of 2016.

Since leaving Anfield, Rossiter has lined up for clubs such as Rangers, Bury, Fleetwood Town and Bristol Rovers.
His move to Shrewsbury even saw him sent out on loan to Oldham Athletic midway through this season, yet he only managed 26 appearances across both clubs .
