Liverpool have had one of their best-ever transfer windows in the 2025-26 season.
The Crystal Palace captain has entered the final year of his deal at Selhurst Park, and even though he could be signed for nothing at the end of the season, a fee in the region of £30-£35million would be a steal.

“I thought he was one of our best players in the Euros, he was brilliant, strong, powerful, [and] he could play with the ball.
“He looks like a real leader, he looks like a really good character as well, I think he’s top drawer, I genuinely do.
“I’m shocked to be fair, at that price [£35million], the amount of teams that are looking for centre-halves, I think he’s good enough to play for Manchester City, I know they got Ruben Dias and Stones but he’s good enough to mix it with them boys.
“I think he’s good enough to go to Liverpool, he’s good enough to play at Arsenal.”
As mentioned, Leoni is currently on his way to Liverpool to have his medical to sign for the club.
However, even though the centre-back was a regular feature for Serie A side Parma last season, he’s still only 18 years old, so he can’t be fully relied upon to be the back-up for Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate.
Of course, it would mean that he has three centre-backs who all deserve to start, but with the amount of games in the season, plenty of rotation could occur if and when needed, hence why the Reds still need to sign the former Chelsea man.
