Liverpool are the clear favourites to come away with the Premier League title this season.

However, speaking before the 1-1 draw between Arsenal and Manchester City, Roy Keane gave an insight into whether he thinks Mikel Arteta’s men have what it takes to beat Liverpool to the title this term.

Both have every right to be tipped to win the Premier League title, but after Liverpool beat the Gunners 1-0 in their last matchup, the scale seems to be tipped in the Reds’ favour at the moment.
However, as mentioned, before the game between Arsenal and City last Sunday, Keane was speaking about the Gunners’ chances of winning the title while live on Sky Sports.
“If you’re looking at both squads [Manchester City and Arsenal], you’re thinking Arsenal are probably going to be the nearest rivals to Liverpool [for the Premier League title],” he said.
Later in the show, the topic was revisited and Keane added the following: “Over the last few years, every time I’ve seen City and Arsenal in terms of winning the league title, I’ve never felt Arsenal had enough.
“[They never] had enough strength in depth, they obviously lacked that striker but I look at Arsenal’s group of players now and I think they have the players capable of winning the Premier League.”
One of the scariest things about being a Liverpool supporter this year will have undoubtedly been the last-minute goals they’ve scored.
