Jefte has said his decision to leave Rangers for Palmeiras this summer was an ‘easy’ one.
The Brazilian defender arrived at Ibrox from APOEL Nicosia last summer and went on to make 56 appearances for the club across all competitions.
However, Jefte was unpopular among Rangers fans after making a host of high-profile errors — including some poor defending against Viktoria Plzen in a recent Champions League qualifier.
The left-back’s Rangers nightmare was brought to an end recently, with Brazilian giants Palemeiras taking him back to his homeland.
Rangers supporters are glad to see the back of Jefte, but it appears the feeling is mutual.
The 21-year-old former Brazil youth international has spoken out following his Palmeiras switch, stating that it was an ‘easy’ decision for him to move — and that he pushed his agents to make sure it went through.

“Every player in Europe or Brazil should dream about putting on the Palmeiras jersey because it’s a gigantic club,” said Jefte (Daily Record, 21 August).
“When the offer came, I had no doubts about coming here.
The Allianz Parque stadium is wonderful – nowhere, even in Europe, is there a stadium as good as that.
“I am very impressed with the sheer size of Palmeiras.
It was easier for me at Rangers because I was already adapted to European football and I understood the style of play.
“But it’s better for me in Brazil because of the language and the fact that I grew up here.
It’s a very rewarding move for me.”

Jefte may well benefit from being back in the familiar Brazilian surroundings, but Rangers already appear to be moving forward without him as well.
England youth international Jayden Meghoma was signed on loan from Brentford to replace Jefte, making his debut in Tuesday’s Champions League qualifier against Club Brugge.
Rangers suffered a disastrous 3-1 defeat at home to the Belgian side, who went three goals to the good inside just 20 minutes at Ibrox.
However, that was no fault of Meghoma, who put in a very promising display on the night.
The 19-year-old provided the assist for Danilo’s second-half strike, which gives Rangers just the faintest glimmer of hope in the tie.
Meanwhile, the defender played nine passes into the final third, attempted six crosses and wasn’t dispossessed at all during his 70 minutes on the pitch — also locking things down defensively with two tackles, two clearances and two recoveries (FotMob).
Meghoma’s performance in a difficult atmosphere certainly caught the eye of some Rangers fans, who are optimistic about the loanee’s prospects and potential.
