Liverpool’s record move for Alexander Isak continues to drag along as the Reds make their way home to Merseyside.
After two weeks or so in the Far East, Liverpool headed back having beaten Yokohama F.
Marinos in Japan on Wednesday.
Once they touch down at John Lennon Airport, preparations for the beginning of the Premier League season will ramp up once again.
And despite the fact they have already been one of the most active sides this summer, Liverpool are going to have to step things up in the transfer market as well.
Isak’s potential arrival from Newcastle is the big story in this respect, as Liverpool wait for the green light from Tyneside to make their move.
As they gauge whether the doors are open at St James’ Park, there have been reports that Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Isak.
Despite the Swede refusing to go on tour with the Magpies, he is yet to get any closer to joining Liverpool.
Nevertheless, if Newcastle show a willingness to do business over Isak, Romano says that the move will be relatively straightforward, as the 25-year-old has a contract ready at Anfield.

“I told you I think for two weeks now that Alexander Isak wants to go to Liverpool,” the transfer expert told his YouTube channel on Wednesday evening.
“How can you think that he doesn’t go to train, doesn’t go on tour with Newcastle, without having a contract ready with Liverpool?
It’s absolutely obvious.”

“The player is never going to create a problem with his current club if he doesn’t have an agreement ready on the other side,” Romano adds.
“Personal terms are never going to be a problem.
Isak wants to go to Liverpool, I keep repeating that.”
According to a claim from The Times last week, Isak is looking for around £300k-per-week on his next contract.
This is reportedly beyond Newcastle’s means, but is clearly something Liverpool are happy to sign off on.
With personal terms seemingly long-since agreed between all parties, the Reds will be committing a huge amount of money on a transfer which will likely have a fee in excess of £120m attached.
The Liverpool owners have had criticism come their way in the past for an apparent unwillingness to compete at the very top of the football food chain.
But after spending an enormous amount to keep Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah at the club, and then going big on Florian Wirtz and Isak – as well as this summer’s other signings – they are doing all they can to silence those doubters one and for all.
