The Reds romped to the Premier League title last season and despite having the players to do it again, they opted for a shake up this summer.
Some big names left but equally some high profile stars arrived, with Liverpool’s total spending reaching £446m.
This is what is required to stay at the top, however, so almost all changes were essential, especially as the future is now more exciting than ever.
And, one player in particular will have caught the eye of many, with Jermaine Pennant even going as far as saying they have signed a player even better than Harry Kane.

During his time in the Premier League, Kane was one of the most feared strikers about, with the Englishman only 47 goals behind Alan Shearer’s record.
He may have gone to the Bundesliga so it is highly unlikely he breaks the record, but he has continued to score at a similar rate, showing that he still has what it takes.
However, despite proving himself over such a long period of time, Pennant thinks that right now, Isak is a much better striker than Kane is.

“No, I would say Isak (to if Kane would be the best striker in the league if he returned),” Pennant said on talkSPORT.

“Just because over the years, Harry Kane’s numbers in the Premier League have been fantastic, golden boots galore, but Harry Kane now, right at this minute, is not a better player than Alexander Isak.
“He’s not better than Haaland either.
Isak is the best number nine in the world.
When he’s fit, give him some games, give him some time.”
Although Isak is a very good striker and has proven himself year on year, he is still a long way off Kane’s level.
The Swede has scored 54 goals in 86 Premier League appearances, a very decent return, especially given the amount of injuries he has suffered in between.
However, Kane’s tally of 213 goals seems rather unachievable for Isak as the striker would need to average 20 goals a season for around 8 seasons.
By this point, he would be pushing 34-years-old, suggesting he is likely running out of time if he is to achieve this.
Isak may be on a par in terms of finishing with Kane, but overall, Liverpool’s new number nine still has a long way to go.
