One of Ibrahima Konate's former mentors has tipped the Liverpool defender for a potential move to Real Madrid.
The French international's contract at Anfield is set to expire next summer, leaving his future hanging in the balance.
With the ability to negotiate a pre-contract with overseas clubs come January, Konate has caught the eye of both Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain should he decide to depart.

Eric Hely, Konate's former youth coach at FC Sochaux, has now expressed his belief that Konate could thrive at the Bernabeu, even suggesting he surpasses current Madrid center-back Antonio Rudiger in quality.
"I would highlight his charisma and his simplicity, which make him a leader," he told Marca, as quoted by Sport Witness.
He wanted to succeed and worked tirelessly, even on his own.
"If he did it at Liverpool, why not at Real Madrid.
Konate won the Premier League with Liverpool last season.
The other kids followed him because of his charisma."
Konate, 26, joined Liverpool four years ago and has since played 132 times for the club.
He's faced several injuries during that time but has impressed when available for selection, helping Liverpool win the Premier League title, FA Cup, two Carabao Cups, and other trophies.
