Liverpool players shared a reaction on social media after Florian Wirtz scored a fantastic goal whilst on international break with Germany.
Liverpool broke their transfer record to sign Wirtz earlier in the window for £116 million, only to surpass that fee later in the window with the signing of Alexander Isak.
The German midfielder was a star in the Bundesliga for a number of years, and became one of the most highly rated young midfielders in the world, helping Leverkusen to a Bundesliga title.
Liverpool beat Bayern and Man City to Wirtz’s signature in the summer, with a meeting with Arne Slot ultimately convincing the 22-year-old.
However, Wirtz is yet to register a goal or an assist after his first three Premier League appearances for the Reds, and has already received scrutiny.
Despite this, the German playmaker has shone on the international stage after he scored a free-kick, earning reactions from his teammates.

While he may not be in the best of form at club level, Wirtz proved his worth for Germany after he scored a free-kick against Northern Ireland in their 3-1 win.
The midfielder posted multiple images on Instagram from his strike and celebration, including one where he cupped his ears to the crowd, and a caption which included the Germany flag.

He saw plenty of support in reaction as Ibrahima Konate sent emojis of an ear in reference to his celebration, while Curtis Jones commented with fire emojis.
Other players such as Virgil van Dijk, Hugo Ekitike and Jeremie Frimpong also shared a reaction by liking his message.
Wirtz has been criticised for his performance for Liverpool, but his display for Germany will give him confidence heading into the return of club football, with the Reds facing Burnley on 14 September.

While Konate remains active on social media and showing support to his teammates, his future at the club remains under speculation as he has less than a year left on his deal.
Football Insider revealed Liverpool are set to hold fresh talks with Konate over his contract, but Real Madrid are continuing to keep a close eye on his situation.
After Liverpool failed to bring in Marc Guehi in the transfer window, talks are expected to accelerate with the French defender, though whether they lead to a quick resolution remains uncertain.
