The Dutchman played a key role in a memorable campaign last season, helping the Reds lift the Premier League title in Arne Slot’s debut year.
His commanding performances were recognised as Van Dijk was awarded a place in the PFA Team of the Year, alongside teammates Gravenberch and Mohamed Salah.
Despite a season filled with speculation over his future as his contract ticked down, the Dutchman ended the uncertainty in April when Van Dijk signed a new Liverpool deal and committing his long-term future to the club, and carried his form into the new season.

While Konate showed support to his fellow centre-back, his own future at Anfield remains less certain.
The French defender is entering the final year of his contract, and speculation continues to grow over a possible departure.
Football Insider revealed Liverpool could allow Konate to leave in the January transfer window, particularly if they are successful in their pursuit of Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi.
Real Madrid are among the clubs monitoring his situation closely, and the Reds are determined to avoid a repeat of last season’s contract uncertainty that surrounded Trent Alexander-Arnold.
