Ibrahima Konate has revealed how the emotion of the Liverpool supporters was a driving force behind their Premier League title success.
And the Reds centre-back admits he was almost lost for words when trying to explain an "amazing" Anfield occasion on Sunday.
The Reds were crowned champions for a record-equalling 20th time on Sunday when they were presented with the Premier League trophy after the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on the final day of the season.
Having been denied a collective celebration due to pandemic restrictions when Liverpool ended a 30-year wait to win the title in 2020, supporters have been keen to make the most of Arne Slot's side having won the title with four games remaining.

And Konate said: "You know we spoke a lot about that and since I've been here, we were very close to winning the Premier League in my first season but after that, we didn't and I think this season, when we achieved this and I met some fans, some of them told me they were waiting 35 years.
"And I was thinking 'Thirty-five years?
When you see the eyes of some fans crying, it was just amazing."

Asked how much the occasion lived up to expectations, Konate added: "To be fair I have no words to explain all of that.
"I had my alone moment after Spurs and I think this was very important because even (on Sunday) I was with Kostas (Tsimikas) and Joe (Gomez), I said 'remember the game after Spurs, I cannot remember everything so I have so many things in my mind'.
"And it was just unbelievable to lift the trophy in front of all these fans and I hope really everyone enjoyed it.
We have a few videos and photos to remember this day."

Konate was also taken aback by the dramatic scenes as Liverpool's players were greeted with a flurry of pyrotechnics and tickertape when captain Virgil van Dijk lifted the Premier League trophy.
"Ooooooh la la la!" laughed the France international.
