The Ibrahima Konate contract situation has taken another turn – and it’s not a postive one.

The French defender’s deal expires in June 2026, and with no agreement on a new deal there is cause for concern.

Now Santi Aouna, reporting for Foot Mercato, has claimed that the 26-year-old is ready to end his Anfield chapter:

“Ibrahima Konaté is ready to leave Liverpool,” reports Aouna.

“Ibrahima Konaté has still not extended his contract with Liverpool, even though his contract ends in 2026.”

“At the Reds, concern is growing?

Rightly so, since the French defender wants a new challenge, and several clubs have already been warned.”
