Liverpool are linked with a whole host of big names and supporters should be excited ahead of the new season.

Reds fans have had a lot to cheer about this season and every Liverpool player has deserved all the recognition they have received.

However, in football time very rarely stands still and clubs are already looking to reinforce before the new season rolls around, with Liverpool being no exception.

Despite losing Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid, Arne Slot has already received his replacement, with Jeremie Frimpong the first arrival at Anfield this summer.

However, other big names could be set to leave as Luis Diaz is wanted by Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, where he could reunite with Sadio Mane.

Another Liverpool star is now linked with a move to the kingdom and based on his current contract situation, the club may just decide to cash in on him.

The Saudi Arabian domination has been hard to stop over recent years and it shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

With the huge amounts of money clubs can receive for players, it is easy to see why some offers are too good to refuse, and Liverpool might just have this problem very soon.

According to the BBC and journalist Sam Mokbel, Al Hilal have entered the race for defender Ibrahima Konate, joining the likes of Real Madrid and PSG.

“One name to keep an eye on is Ibrahima Konate,” Mokbel said on a Q&A on their website.

“He is in talks over a new contract, but his existing deal expires at the end of next season.

“If an agreement can’t be reached, it will be interesting to see if Liverpool consider offers for the France international to avoid losing him for nothing in 2026.

Paris Saint-Germain and Al Hilal are the clubs I’ve heard who have an interest in Konate.”

Liverpool are desperate to keep the Frenchman but after contract negotiations have stalled since January, the Reds may decide to cash in on him while they can.

Al Hilal are also in the Club World Cup that begins on June 15th, so with the window shutting on June 10th, the Saudi club may have to offer big money to force this deal through quickly.

Liverpool’s original plan has been to keep hold of Konate and potentially offload some other defenders, although this might have to change.

Jarell Quansah is wanted by teams in the Bundesliga and Joe Gomez is likely to depart after a decade at the club, but both could now stay if Konate is sold.

Jorrel Hato is linked with a move to Liverpool so he could help make the numbers up at the back, while also providing great potential for the future.

Despite never publicly expressing his desire to leave, Konate’s hesitation to sign a new deal may strike worry into the minds of many fans, and Liverpool may just cash in on him while they have the chance.
