Rangers are ready for Everton and four other European sides to drive up Hamza Igamane’s price tag this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed what his sources have said about Rangers‘ attempts to keep hold of the Moroccan.
Igamane’s 16 goals and three assists in his debut season at Ibrox have put the 22-year-old in the shop window this summer, and Rangers’ owners 49ers Enterprises could be willing to sell their star striker.
Football Insider revealed on 2 August that Rangers will drive a hard bargain and could demand close to £20million for Igamane, and their hand will be strengthened further via Champions League qualification.
As well as Lille launching an inquest earlier this summer, Football Insider sources have said that Everton, Feyenoord, Rennes and Udinese are all keen on Igamane and a bidding war could be set to kick off.
Sources have told Football Insider that Rangers are hope the ensuing “auction” could bump Igamane‘s transfer fee up towards the £20m mark, albeit this will also hinge on their Champions League status.

Everton’s interest in Igamane is long-standing and Football Insider revealed as far back as March that David Moyes’ side were confident pf agreeing a deal for the Rangers frontman in this summer’s window.
Speaking on the new Inside Track, O’Rourke said Everton now have plenty of competition for Igamane’s signature, with Rangers determined to drive up that price tag as high as possible if they are to sell him.
“Rangers are standing firm on their valuation of the 22-year-old, holding out for around £15–20million”, he told Football Insider.
“There’s been interest from Everton, Stade Rennes, Udinese and Feyenoord, so there’s obviously suitors for Igamane in the summer transfer window.
“Rangers will be hoping there could be bit of an auction for him, and that might bump up his transfer fee as well.
“He’s under contract, and I think this one will probably drag on for the next few weeks until we know if Rangers do qualify for the Champions League.”

Russell Martin didn’t have Igamane to call upon in the Gers’ opening-day draw with Motherwell due to an injury, but he’ll still be a crucial player as Rangers navigate the rest of their Champions League qualifiers.
Igamane’s absence from the squad at Fir Park has led to further questions over his future, but Martin and 49ers Enterprises won’t let their star striker leave for less than that asking price in the region of £20m.
Djeidi Gassama has emerged as an early-season favourite after goals against Panathinaikos in both legs of their third qualifying round tie, but it remains to be seen if Rangers will have Igamane spearheading the attack alongside him this season.
