Liverpool players will no doubt have been watching this week’s Champions League semi-finals with more than a hint of jealousy.
The Reds had a brilliant start in this season’s competition, sweeping to the top of the league phase.
But after winning seven of their eight matches, Liverpool were drawn against in-form PSG in the last-16.
Although they pushed the Parisians all the way to penalties, Liverpool fell at the first knockout hurdle.
PSG have gone from strength to strength and will compete in the final against Inter Milan.
Inter made it to Munich via a pulsating semi-final with Barcelona in which 17-year-old Lamine Yamal was one of the stars of the show.
Despite Barca’s defeat, Yamal’s reputation as one of the world’s best players continues to grow.
And as he dreams of going one step further with the Catalans next season, the teenager has opened up on his dream of playing at Anfield.

Yamal has been an absolute revelation for Barcelona ever since making his debut as a 15 year old.
Week after week, the right winger confounds opponents and demonstrates why he has come to be seen as the heir to Lionel Messi at the Camp Nou.

Even at just 17, Yamal has already accomplished so much.
However, one thing the youngster has not experienced is playing against Liverpool at Anfield.
But in quotes from GOAL, Yamal has insisted that this is something he plans to do before hanging up his boots.

“There are so many I’ve yet to experience, especially outside of Europe,” he said, when asked which stadiums he would love to play at.
“In Europe, some of the iconic ones I’d like to play in are Old Trafford and Anfield.”
It’s always good to hear one of the best players in the world talk up Liverpool’s home stadium.
At just 17, it’s worth remembering that he was only 11 when Barcelona last played at Anfield.
That night was enough to put any Barca fan off visiting Merseyside for a lifetime, so you’ve got to hand it to Yamal for bucking that trend.
As young as he is, his admission is a reminder of just how much mystique Anfield holds in the world of football.
Maybe Liverpool and Barcelona will meet next season and Yamal will get his wish.
