Thomas Frank has responded after fans decided to boo during and after Tottenham’s crushing 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth.
Spurs fans were bitterly disappointed after they suffered their first loss of the season to a plucky Bournemouth outfit.
The match was cause for much excitement after new Tottenham signing from RB Leipzig Xavi Simons was in attendance as he prepares to start soon for his new club.
The Danish manager was less than impressed with the Lilywhites’ display as the north London outfit could only manage one shot on target in the whole afternoon, frustrating the Spurs faithful.

Speaking after the game, the former Brentford manager was questioned on his thoughts of the Tottenham fans booing both at half-time and full-time.
Sympathising with the annoyed and disappointed supporters, Frank said: “I prefer them not to boo but I understand it was not a good performance today.
The players put their heart out there but didn’t hit our football levels today.”

After an incredible 2-0 victory over Man City the weekend prior, the north London outfit were outplayed and brought crashing back down to earth.
The Cherries are a well-organised, well-coached outfit who outmatched the Lilywhites across the park as Spurs’ squad struggled to keep up with their pace and tenacity.
It is understandable that the Tottenham supporters were far from impressed, but patience needs to be given to Frank.

He has inherited a project that is still in motion and, in my opinion, the two quick-fire victories perhaps came surprisingly early in his tenure.
The international break will provide adequate time for the Dane to go over his tactics and prepare for the next match after the two week gap against London rivals West Ham.
Expectations must be tempered by Spurs fans as even a top half finish would be a significant improvement after their shambolic showing in the league last campaign under Ange Postecoglou.
