Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye was among the first players to react after the club confirmed their latest signing.
Everton have entered a transformative summer under the new ownership of The Friedkin Group, with preparations well underway for their move into the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Manager David Moyes has been tasked with reshaping the squad and hasn’t wasted any time.
A number of senior players have already departed, including Ashley Young and Abdoulaye Doucoure, both of whom left Everton following the expiry of their contracts.
On the other end, reinforcements are on the way.
Former club chief Keith Wyness recently told Football Insider that Everton are looking to bring in up to five new players over the coming weeks as part of the club’s rebuild.
Now, it appears the Toffees have already made progress on that front, with a new arrival confirmed, prompting a response from Gueye as excitement builds over the club’s new era.

While the club have secured cover at left-back, the club are now turning their attention to midfield reinforcements following the exit of Abdoulaye Doucoure.
Former Everton chief Wyness has told Football Insider that Everton are keen on signing Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz.
However, they face stiff competition from West Ham, who are also pursuing the Brazilian.
Luiz only joined Juventus from Aston Villa last summer, but following a difficult spell in Serie A, a return to the Premier League is now firmly on the cards.
With midfield experience a clear priority for Everton, and Luiz’s future in Turin uncertain, the club could be poised to submit a formal offer in the coming days.
